Hill: Barnet challenge

Rochdale boss Keith Hill will be without key defender Rory McArdle for the visit of Barnet.

The talented 21-year-old is away on international duty and will miss the crunch tie at Spotland.

Dale, who sit one point adrift of their weekend rivals in League Two, will be looking to get back to winning ways on home soil having lost last time out on the road to Burton Albion.

Marcus Holness, who has played just two games since returning from his loan spell at Barrow, is likely to replace Mardle at the back.

New French striker Marc Manga will be in contention for a starting berth having agreed to join the club on a non-contractual basis until January.

Barnet news

Albert Adomah is still an injury concern for Bees boss Ian Hendon heading into Saturday's encounter.

The young striker-turned-winger missed out in defeat to Charlton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with an ankle problem picked up against Gillingham.

Albert Jarrett could step in should Adomah miss out, having replaced the 21-year-old earlier in the week.

Striker Rene Howe, on-loan from Dale, is ineligible to play against his parent club.
