Uddin: May return for Daggers

There will be little more than pride to play for when Dagenham & Redbridge host Mansfield in League Two on Saturday.

The match had been shaping up as a final-day relegation decider with the two clubs battling it out to maintain their league status.

But the Daggers secured survival with a 3-2 win at Darlington last week while Mansfield's home defeat to Rotherham coupled with Chester's 0-0 draw against Stockport in midweek condemned the Stags to the drop.

It therefore looks set to be a survival celebration at Victoria Road, which should see the Daggers record their highest attendance of the season with around 4,000 fans expected.

Smith, Uddin may return

The hosts are hoping to have Ross Smith back after missing that crucial win over Darlington due to a problem with stitches in his mouth.

Fellow defender Anwar Uddin could also return as he is recovering from a knock which has ruled him out of the last two games.

Full-back Danny Foster misses out as he recovers from an injection for his groin injury, while midfielder Richard Graham remains sidelined after a hernia operation.

Defender Lee Goodwin will also miss out as he is struggling with a long-term knee problem.

Baptiste, Boulding doubtful

Mansfield will hope to bow out on a high, although Alex Baptiste and Michael Boulding are both doubtful.

Defender Baptiste is struggling with a calf problem while top scorer Boulding has been suffering with illness this week.
