Notts County travel to rock-bottom Wrexham on Saturday needing a win to ensure their Football League survival.

The Magpies are 21st in the table with 44 points from 43 games, five points clear of the drop zone with three matches to play.

A win would therefore go a long way to ensuring County's survival but Wrexham's situation is desperate and they will need a miracle to avoid relegation even if they win on Saturday.

The Red Dragons are currently nine points from safety with four to play, although they have a game in hand on 22nd-placed Dagenham.

Wrexham news

Wrexham seemed doomed and so boss Brian Little is set to make wholesale changes to his starting XI for the game.

Little is keen to hand some of the club's youngsters and first-team fringe players the chance to impress in the final four games of the season.

On-loan Milton Keynes Dons striker Drewe Broughton, who started last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Shrewsbury, was sent back to his parent club on Thursday along with Stuart Nicholson and Rob Duffy to West Brom and Oxford, respectively.

Little, meanwhile, recalled midfielder Levi Mackin and goalkeeper Michael Jones from loan spells away from the club earlier this week and the duo are in the squad for this weekend's game.

Midfielder Danny Sonner (Achilles) is unlikely to feature again this season and misses out.

County news

Midfielder Gary Silk resumed training for County this week and comes back into contention for the game after he missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury.

Defender and captain Adam Tann has been given the all-clear following a leg injury, but midfielder Jay Smith is not expected to play again this season after suffering a knee ligament problem in the defeat at Bury on 5th April.

Also sidelined with a knee ligament problem is his colleague in midfield Gavin Strachan.
