Highlights of Leyton Orient’s 1-1 draw with Wycombe in Sky Bet League Two.

Jay Simpson equalised a first-half goal from Matt Bloomfield to earn Leyton Orient a 1-1 draw in their League Two match with Wycombe at Brisbane Road.

The home side had been struggling to make any impression but the introduction of rugged striker Ollie Palmer sprung them into life. He joined the action immediately after the interval and proved a constant threat to the visitors with his no-nonsense approach.

Visiting keeper Matt Ingram had been a virtual onlooker in the first half but Palmer's foraging and industry ensured the keeper and his defence a heavy work load in the second period.

Palmer played a significant part in the O's goal twice winning tackles before passing to fellow substitute Blair Turgott who set up Simpson after 66 minutes for his sixth goal of the campaign

The visitors had taken a deserved lead after 40 minutes having created the better chances of a competitive exchange in the opening period.

Gozie Ogwu led with his arm as he rose to meet a cross from Joe Jacobson and the ball fell to Matt Bloomfield who stabbed the ball into the net from close-range.

A woeful Lloyd James back pass just after the half-hour mark had presented Garry Thompson with a gift opportunity but Orient keeper Alex Cisak dived at the striker's feet to prevent the goal.

The ball though fell to Stephen McGinn but again Cisak was alert to the danger and blocked the shot with his legs
