Terriers await winners of Whites and Gunners Cup replay

Leeds United entertain Arsenal in their third round FA Cup replay at Elland Road on Wednesday with Huddersfield Town awaiting the winners. The Whites were minutes from claiming a famous 1-0 win at Emirates Stadium thanks to Robert Snodgrass' penalty before Cesc Fabregas snatched a share of the spoils. Since the draw Arsenal have lost to Ipswich in the first leg of their Carling Cup tie before crushing West Ham at the weekend while Leeds destroyed Scunthorpe in Championship action on Saturday. The teams have not met at Leeds since January 2004 when Arsene Wenger's side strolled to a 4-1 success thanks to goals from Thierry Henry, Edu, Robert Pires and Kolo Toure. Leeds' last victory over Arsenal came in May 2003 when Mark Viduka's late goal at Highbury gave The Whites a 3-2 away win, securing their top-flight status in the process.

Leeds news

Leeds-born defender Ben Parker could return at left-back due to on-loan George McCartney being ineligible having re-signed since the teams' first meeting. Top scorer Luciano Becchio is a major doubt with a back injury so ex-Swindon Town striker Billy Paynter is on standby to get the nod. Midfielder Neil Kilkenny remains with Australia at the Asian Games so Bradley Johnson will partner Jonathan Howson in the middle of the park with the likes of Sanchez Watt, Max Gradel and Snodgrass all given license to attack.
Arsenal news
Wenger may opt to rest defender Johan Djourou and give a surprise start to Barcelona-born Spanish youth international and the captain of Arsenal's reserves Ignasi Miquel. Bacary Sagna is available again after completing a three-match ban and he could replace Emmanuel Eboue at right-back. Wenger must decide whether to start with the likes of Fabregas, Samir Nasri and in-form Robin van Persie while winger Tomas Rosicky is expected back after a virus.
