Ipswich were held to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in the Championship at Portman Road on Saturday.
Jon Stead had put the home side in front, but an error from Ipswich goalkeeper Richard Wright allowed Teenager Victor Moses to sneak an equaliser.
The result does neither side any favours and sees Palace slip into the relegation zone, while Ipswich stay in 16th position.
Palace had the better of an open and entertaining game but are just a point off the bottom of the table after a slow start to the season.
The game began with a flurry of full-blooded challenges which saw Alex Bruce and Ben Watson booked before midfielder Tommy Miller went close with a sidefooted effort from the edge of the area.
Jon Walters' fantastic crossfield ball then almost put Kevin Lisbie in but Paddy McCarthy hooked it away bravely.
Paul Ifill had Palace's first chance when a loose ball came through to him but Wright made a good save at his near post.
Stead then gave the hosts a lead with a delightful goal in the 23rd minute.
Walters broke clear down the left and after cutting into the area perfectly picked out David Norris on the penalty spot.
Clever
Norris cleverly stepped over the ball, selling the dummy to two defenders to leave Stead all alone.
The former Blackburn striker took his time and emphatically finished past Julian Speroni for his 50th career goal.
But Wright contrived to hand Palace a way back into the game just two minutes later.
The goalkeeper made a superb save to keep out Moses' header from Ifill's deep cross but made a hash of the subsequent corner.
The former England man came for Ben Watson's cross but collided with Bruce to leave 17-year-old Moses with the simple task of heading in.
Speroni then brilliantly palmed Lisbie's bullet header over before Palace full-back Clint Hill missed an open goal after another flap from Wright.
Midfielder Nick Carle then whistled a low shot into the side-netting after dispossessing Miller as Neil Warnock's side ended the half in the ascendancy.
Horrendous
Carle then had the first chance of the second half but his shot was deflected away before debutant Craig Beattie rushed his shot after fine work by Moses down the left.
Stead then hooked an effort onto the roof of the net after a corner was not dealt with before Watson was guilty of a horrendous miss.
Ifill did well to buy himself a yard of space down the right and whip in a low cross to the near post. Watson timed his late surge into the area to perfection but somehow put his shot wide from just five yards.
Macedonian midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski then smashed a 25-yard drive a foot wide at the other end after a corner was cleared out to him.
Lisbie had the final sight of goal as the hosts ended on top but after cleverly controlling the ball on his chest his shot on the turn was wide.
