Dickson in Gills squad, worries for Trollope

New signing Chris Dickson is pushing for a second Gillingham debut as Bristol Rovers prepare to make changes. Dickson rejoined the Gills on a three-month loan deal from Charlton this week and is in contention to face the club where he spent a similar spell earlier this season. The striker enjoyed a successful stint in Kent two years ago, scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances, but he may have to settle for a place on the bench. Fellow striker Rene Howe (dead leg) is in contention to start, but boss Mark Stimson could stick with Dennis Oli and James Walker after they impressed in the goalless draw at Yeovil last weekend. Simeon Jackson was on the bench against the Glovers and the Gills' leading scorer looks set to be overlooked once again. Long-term absentee Simon King remains sidelined due to an ankle injury.

    Rovers news

Rovers manager Paul Trollope could be forced to make up to four changes when his team travel to Priestfield. Midfielder Chris Lines suffered two gashes around his knee during Monday night's 2-1 win over Charlton and faces a race against time to be passed fit. Striker Jo Kuffour had to be withdrawn after only 20 minutes against the Addicks with stud marks on his calf and the former Brentford man is also rated as doubtful. Steve Elliott is struggling with illness and was sent home from training on Thursday while fellow central defender Danny Coles (knee) is also a doubt. On-loan midfielder Wayne Brown is unavailable and is back at parent club Fulham receiving treatment on his ankle injury. But defenders Aaron Lescott and Carl Regan are fully fit once again after recovering from a hip injury and a dead leg respectively.
