Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer is desperate to spring an upset at Ghana's expense in the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday.
The Syli Nationale, with three points in Group D, must defeat the unbeaten Black Stars to boost their chances of reaching the last eight of CAF's flagship event.
Guinea, who lost 1-0 to Mali in their first match, recently thumped maiden qualifiers Botswana 6-1, with Dussuyer hopeful of another impressive display against their West African rivals.
"We made a big statement. And now we will do everything to stay on in Gabon. We are determined and we have to play at a very high level," said Dussuyer, whose team upstaged star-studded Nigeria to reach the tournament.
"We know that against Ghana we will have to do more.
"I respect Ghana, they are a high level team with some great players. They did well at the 2010 World Cup and also reached the final of the last Nations Cup.
"They are a top team, but we want to win and qualify for the quarter-final. We don't wish to go back home yet.
"This tournament is very open, some of the favourites have already left, while Gabon and Equatorial Guinea are through to the quarter-finals," he added.
Bastia hitman Sadio Diallo is in business mode ahead of the Franceville showdown, as he looks to improve on his two strikes against the Zebras.
"We will continue to work hard. We will play hard and not joke against Ghana," said the 21-year-old.
Diallo, as well as youngsters Abdoul Razzagui Camara and Ibrahima Traore have caught the eye so far, complementing experienced performers such as Bobo Balde, Pascal Feindouno and skipper Kamil Zayatte.
Meanwhile, Ghana are aiming for a 100% record following 1-0 and 2-0 victories over Botswana and Mali respectively. If the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists win the group they will next face Tunisia.
However, star striker Asamoah Gyan and African Footballer of the Year Andre Ayew insist they are taking it one game at a time.
"We have quality players and we don't care who we meet when we qualify for the quarter-finals. We are prepared for any team and we will take our chances," said Gyan.
Ayew added: "What is most important is that we should be ready for whoever comes by because we want to qualify for the semi-finals."
In team news, Ghana skipper John Mensah has recovered from a muscle injury, while fellow centre-back Isaac Vorsah is back from suspension. John Boye and Jonathan Mensah have impressed in the duo's absence.
