Fleetwood v Bradford preview

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Fleetwood and Bradford at Highbury Stadium.

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander has no new injury worries to contend with. Jon Parkin is set to be involved once more after the well-travelled striker returned from a hamstring injury ahead of schedule to come off the bench and net his 100th professional goal in last weekend's 3-0 win over Oxford. Barry Nicholson was also among the substitutes and is expected to be once more as the former Preston midfielder continues to build fitness following a back problem. Junior Brown has recovered from the calf problem that saw him substituted against United, although replacement Ryan Crowther impressed by getting himself on the scoresheet. Youth team product Jamie Allen was handed a first start last time out alongside debutant Paul McKenna in the Cod Army midfield and both players are likely to retain their places. Youl Mawene has stepped up training on his comeback from a broken foot but the game comes too soon for him, while fellow centre-back and club captain Steve McNulty left to join Luton on transfer deadline day. Bradford defender Michael Nelson could make his long-awaited debut for the club at Fleetwood. Nelson, signed from Kilmarnock for an undisclosed fee earlier this month, was an unused substitute in the Capital One Cup clash at Aston Villa and the Bantams' scheduled league game against Wycombe last week was postponed due to the weather. Bradford's last league game was against Oxford three weeks ago and the break will have allowed the likes of Stephen Darby (foot), striker James Hanson (toe) and winger Will Atkinson (stomach) to shake off knocks. Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill, plus wingers Kyel Reid and Garry Thompson are all pushing for recalls after starting the second leg of the clash at Villa on the substitutes' bench. Phil Parkinson's side have taken just one point from their last four league games and are three points off a play-off spot.
