Exeter v Shrews preview

Image: Moxey: Boost

Exeter are boosted by the return of Dean Moxey as they prepare to face Shrewsbury.

Defender set to feature

Exeter are boosted by the return of Dean Moxey for their first League Two game at St James Park in five years against Shrewsbury. Moxey - who has just overcome a foot injury - came off the bench to score in the 85th minute of Tuesday's 3-1 Carling Cup defeat to Southampton, following his 82nd-minute introduction. City boss Paul Tisdale selects from the same squad but is still without Neil Saunders (knee). Blue Square Premier play-off winners City drew their first game back in the League 1-1 at Darlington.

Shrews news

Shrewsbury are without key defender Graham Coughlan for the trip. Coughlan suffered a hamstring injury after just 21 minutes of the midweek defeat to Carlisle and was forced off, and could miss around three weeks. His absence means a possible return for Kelvin Langmead after he was forced to settle for a place on the bench for the opening two games of the campaign. Paul Murray (Achilles) is back in training and will undergo a late fitness test before the clash, while fellow midfielder David Hunt has resumed training but is still some way short of match fitness. Otherwise, boss Paul Simpson has a fully fit squad to select from with Grant Holt, Richard Walker, Dave Hibbert and Michael Symes all vying for starting spots in attack.
