Charlton may have to change their starting line-up for the first time this season against Brentford.

Parkinson may be forced to shuffle his pack

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson may have to change his starting line-up for the first time this season against Brentford, who have problems in defence. Parkinson has named the same team in all five League One games so far and been rewarded with a club-record five straight wins, but Frazer Richardson is an injury doubt for the visit of Andy Scott's men. The defender is struggling with a groin strain so youngster Chris Solly is on standby to fill in at right-back. Parkinson will add striker Leon McKenzie and winger Luke Holden to his squad but his third deadline-day signing, defender Sam Sodje, is short of match fitness and will not figure. Dean Sinclair is still out with a knee injury, Yassin Moutaouakil has joined Motherwell and Stuart Fleetwood has been loaned to Exeter.

    Brentford team news

Brentford skipper Alan Bennett is still sidelined with a groin injury and left-back Ryan Dickson is missing with a knee problem ahead of the trip to The Valley. Mark Phillips sat out the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Norwich with a knock and will be checked over. Fellow centre-half James Wilson will be on international duty with Wales Under 21s on Friday night, but he expects to be available. Danny Foster will revert to right-back, with Sam Wood deputising at left-back and Kevin O'Connor, who played in the defence at Carrow Road, will move back in midfield. Strikers Ben Strevens (broken leg) and Charlie MacDonald (shoulder) remain on the sick list.
