Warnock looks to end goal drought

Crystal Palace will be looking to end their Championship goal drought when they host Burnley on Saturday. Neil Warnock's side have yet to find the back of the net in league action this season after a goalless draw with Watford on the opening day was followed by last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Preston. Burnley, though, will prove determined visitors to Selhurst Park as they look to secure a first league win following comprehensive defeats to Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich. Warnock could hand exciting teenage prospect Victor Moses a start as he looks for a solution to his striking shortcomings. The forward came on as a substitute against Preston and will hope to figure more prominently.

Long-term problem

Fellow youngster Sean Scannell could also be involved if Warnock reverts to a three-man attack. Paul Ifill and Carl Fletcher were this week placed on the transfer list but Warnock is still likely to consider the duo. However, want-away Ben Watson will not figure until his future is decided. Fellow midfielder Neil Danns is still recovering from a long-term groin problem. Burnley boss Owen Coyle is expected to hand late fitness checks to Martin Paterson, Michael Duff and Graham Alexander Scotland Under 21 midfielder Kevin McDonald could be in line for his full debut.
