Bury will be hoping to bounce back from consecutive league defeats when they take on Accrington.

Buchanan doubtful for Shakers, Ryan missing for Stanley

Bury will be hoping to secure their first League Two win in three games when they take on struggling Accrington on Saturday. The Shakers have slumped to two consecutive losses since their 3-1 victory over Hereford, including a painful 3-0 defeat to local rivals Rochdale. But Saturday's opponents Accrington still lie below them in the table and are coming off four consecutive losses in the league. Bury have been boosted by the news that West Brom midfielder David Worrall has extended his loan until January. The 19-year-old initially signed on a one-month deal but an option for a lengthier deal has been taken up by Bury. However, Shakers boss Alan Knill will likely have to cope without David Buchanan (back), and Andy Morrell, Michael Jones and Racchi (all ankle) for the clash with Stanley. Defender Buchanan will undergo a late fitness test but the other three players each look set to be sidelined for three weeks. Striker Danny Carlton remains a long-term absentee with an Achilles problem.

    Injuries

Accrington will be without the services of Jimmy Ryan for the Lancashire derby at Gigg Lane. The former Liverpool trainee suffered a suspected fractured leg in Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory at Oldham. However, it was later revealed he had only sustained a gashed leg and no break but he will still be unable to feature against the Shakers. Luke Joyce is expected to start in midfield after being replaced by Ryan against the Latics and Sean McConville is also pushing for a start. On-loan defender Tom Lees should be handed his first league after making his debut in midweek following his move from Leeds. Veteran midfielder John Mullin will not feature as he remains sidelined with an ankle injury, while goalkeeper Alan Martin is away on international duty with Scotland Under-21s.
