Bristol City v QPR preview

Team news for Friday night's Championship clash between Bristol City and QPR at Ashton Gate.

Tommy Smith could make his full QPR debut when table-toppers take on the rock-bottom Robins. The versatile attacker has yet to start a game since joining from Portsmouth in August. But with the fixtures coming thick and fast and Rangers heading west on the back of two goalless draws, boss Neil Warnock is considering throwing him in. Former City defender Bradley Orr could also return to the starting line-up after recovering from a calf problem. Midfielder Akos Buzsaky is still out with a knee injury so Alejandro Faurlin continues in the centre. Striker Rob Hulse is training again following Achilles trouble but will not be rushed into action and midfielder Martin Rowlands has a calf problem. Bristol City boss Keith Millen has hinted at an unchanged side for the visit of Rangers. The Robins recorded a first home win of the season against Reading on Tuesday night courtesy of a solitary goal from the fit-again Danny Haynes. Millen said: "It is a lot easier to select a team after you have won because you don't want to change it too much." Midfielder Cole Skuse remains sidelined by the heel injury that ruled him out in midweek. Meanwhile, Sam Vokes' return has been held up following a slight recurrence of a hamstring problem. The striker, on loan from Wolves, suffered a grade two tear on his City debut against Millwall on the opening day of the season.
