Bristol City v Crewe preview

Image: Sam Baldock: Chasing the golden boot

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Bristol City and Crewe Alexandra at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City goalkeeper Simon Moore will continue in goal when they welcome Crewe. The Cardiff loanee has been standing in for Frank Fielding but the former Derby man has had a couple of injections in his injured bicep which will sideline him against the Railwaymen and he will be assessed ahead of next weekend's clash with Crawley. Sam Baldock looks certain to start upfront once more as he aims to claim the League One golden boot. Baldock currently has a one-goal lead over Peterborough's Britt Assombalonga. Steve Cotterill has no fresh injury worries but he admits his squad have a few bumps and bruises that he hopes they will shake off ahead of kick-off in their final home game of the season. Teenage striker Max Clayton may play a part in Crewe's crunch fixture at Bristol City. Clayton, 19, has been out of action since November with an ankle problem. However, after recently returning to first-team training, he played over an hour for the Alex's Under-21s on Wednesday night and came through unscathed. Boss Steve Davis would certainly like to have more attacking options with top scorer Chuks Aneke serving the final game of his three-match suspension. Other than long-term absentees Harry Davis (knee) and Ryan Colclough (stomach), Crewe, who are just one point and one place above the drop-zone, have no other injury concerns.
