Bradford v Plymouth preview

Image: Ravenhill: Ready for action

Team news ahead of Saturday's League Two clash between Bradford City and Plymouth Argyle at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Bradford midfielders Michael Flynn and Ricky Ravenhill will both return to the side for the home clash. Flynn missed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Oldham in midweek through suspension, while Ravenhill, on loan from Notts County, had played for his parent club earlier in the competition. Striker Craig Fagan, midfielder Kyel Reid and defender Simon Ramsden were all rested on Tuesday night and are also expected to return to the starting line-up. Fagan and Reid stepped off the bench at Oldham, but Ramsden, only recently back from long-term injury, was not involved. Defender Robbie Threlfall (thigh) is expected to return to contention next week after being sidelined for a month and midfield pair David Syers and Lee Bullock are hoping to return from their respective long-term knee injuries to play some part in the Christmas fixture schedule. Meanwhile, Argyle will be without the suspended Paul Bignot on Saturday. Bignot was sent off for lashing out at Stourbridge's Sean Evans in the FA Cup first-round replay last month, in which the Pilgrims were humbled 2-0 by their non-league hosts, and the on-loan Blackpool defender serves the second game of a three-match ban against the Bantams. Durrell Berry could fill in for the full-back once more at Valley Parade, and manager Carl Fletcher is unlikely to change the side that beat Northampton 4-1 in their last league outing a fortnight ago. Defender Ben Gibson has been recalled by Middlesbrough since the defeat of the Cobblers and is therefore unavailable for the Pilgrims this weekend.
