Bournemouth v Preston preview

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Bournemouth and Preston North End at Dean Court.

Bournemouth boss Paul Groves may shuffle his attacking options for the clash. Groves is without three strikers but still named five in the squad that drew 1-1 with MK Dons in midweek. Lewis Grabban and Lee Barnard started the match but midfielder Harry Arter was replaced by veteran forward Steve Fletcher at half-time to take advantage of his abilities in the air. And the 40-year-old could be in line for a starting place after making a full recovery from a dead leg. Matt Tubbs and Wes Thomas were also on the bench while Charlie Sheringham, Josh McQuoid and Frank Demouge all remain sidelined through injury. Summer signing Richard Hughes is nearing full fitness and may be included amongst the substitutes. Meanwhile, midfield duo John Mousinho and Joel Byrom are major doubts for Preston. The former Stevenage men are nursing hamstring strains and boss Graham Westley does not wish to put a date on when skipper Mousinho will return. "I wouldn't rule them out, but they're both probably unlikely for the weekend," said Westley. "John is maybe looking at next weekend and maybe week after. You never know with a hamstring strain. "He was intelligent in what he did - he felt the tweak, he's had the tweak before. It took him nine days to come back from previously, he thinks it's similar, but hamstring are funny old things and you've got to be careful with them. "He's protected it and we'll obviously push him along as fast as we can, but it's daft to put an absolute time limit on it because a strain is a strain and your body recovers at the rate it recovers." Lee Holmes returned to the left wing for Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury following a leg injury, while Westley confirmed Akpo Sodje would be considered for selection despite an angry reaction to being substituted in midweek.
