Blackpool welcome Nottingham Forest in a crunch relegation clash in the Championship.

Relegation clash at Bloomfield Road

Blackpool welcome Nottingham Forest in a crunch relegation clash and Lee Hughes is pressing for a starting berth for the Tangerines. The on-loan Oldham striker came off the substitutes' bench to score a late equaliser in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Charlton. That could be enough to secure Hughes, who this week declared his desire to turn his stay at the club into a permanent transfer, a place in the starting XI. However, Seasiders boss Tony Parkes has a number of injury concerns for a match from which his side only require a point to finally banish their relegation fears. Defender Rob Edwards is hoping to shake off an ankle injury but Gary Taylor-Fletcher (knee) and Stephen McPhee (knee) both remain on the sidelines.

Forest boost

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies is boosted by the return to fitness of strikers Rob Earnshaw and Nathan Tyson ahead of the trip. Leading scorer Earnshaw was on the bench for last weekend's win over Coventry as he nursed a knee ligament injury while Tyson has missed Forest's last three games with an ankle problem. On-loan goalkeeper Iain Turner could also return after two games out but it is likely that Paul Smith will continue between the sticks after impressing against the Sky Blues. Guy Moussi improved his chances of being selected after a reserve team run-out in midweek but on-loan winger Paul Anderson is a doubt with an ankle injury. Defender Kelvin Wilson is also out through suspension as Forest know a win, combined with other results going their way over the weekend, could see them safe from relegation.
