Barnsley and Burnley are in action for the second time in three days when they meet at Oakwell on Monday evening, live on Sky Sports 1 and HD1. The Tykes were beaten 2-1 by Preston on Saturday, while 10-man Burnley drew 0-0 at home to struggling Doncaster Rovers. Barnsley manager Simon Davey could make changes as he assesses his side's fitness after their weekend clash. Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce was on international duty for Jamaica in midweek and also played the full 90 minutes at Deepdale, so could be rested. Martin Devaney, who started on the substitutes' bench on Saturday, is likely step up, but Mounir El Haimour is also in contention. Davey will again be without midfielder Anderson De Silva, who sits out the last game of his three-match ban, while central defender Darren Moore remains sidelined due to a groin injury. Bobby Hassell stepped in for Moore at Deepdale, but Davey also has the option of bringing Marciano Van Homoet into his back four. Iain Hume is nursing a fractured skull sustained against Sheffield United two weeks ago, but Davey can call on Jon Macken, Kayode Odejayi, on-loan Blackburn striker Maceo Rigters and Michael Coulson up front.

Burnley team news

Burnley boss Owen Coyle will be without Steven Thompson through suspension. The Clarets striker was sent off for two first-half bookings in the goalless draw with Rovers and will serve a one-match ban. Michael Duff could be restored to the starting line-up having started on the bench at the weekend after he suffered an knock while on international duty with Northern Ireland. Chris Eagles showed no ill-effects to a recent ankle problem to complete the 90 minutes on Saturday, while Martin Paterson is poised to return in attack to partner one of Ade Akinbiyi and Robbie Blake, after being an unused substitute last time out. Christian Kalvenes is nearing fitness but will not figure, while Remco van der Schaaf is unlikely to be involved having recently returned from a virus.
