AFC Wimbledon v York preview

Image: Mills: Urges his players to be men

Team news ahead of Monday night's FA Cup clash between AFC Wimbledon and York City at Kingsmeadow.

Dons boss Neal Eardley will be forced into changes as his side face the Minstermen for the second time in three days in their first-round replay. They made light work of York on Saturday, triumphing 3-0 at Bootham Crescent in the league, but have to go at it again after the original tie ended 1-1 nine days ago. And Eardley is unable to call on loanees George Francomb, Jonathan Meades and Jake Reeves as they have all been denied permission to play by their respective parent club. Mat Mitchel-King (back) and Callum McNaughton (knee) have missed the last two games despite recovering from their injuries, so they could return to the squad as Eardley contends with a quick turnaround. Pim Balkestein (groin) is still out along with midfielder Sammy Moore and forward Jason Prior (both leg). A potentially intriguing second-round tie lies in wait for the Dons should they be victorious and MK Dons see off Cambridge City in their replay on Tuesday. York manager Gary Mills will have an instant opportunity to exact revenge and may opt to change his thinking for the quick turnaround. With six strikers at his disposal and his side failing to score at the weekend, Mills could look to the striking department for change, with Jamie Reed and Oli Johnson eyeing a start. Midfielder John McReady is not ready to return following his dislocated shoulder and forward Michael Coulson is out for the rest of the season due to knee ligament damage. Mills wants his side to be positive, saying: "If you feel sorry for yourself then we'll lose on Monday. You have to bounce back and be a man."
