FULL-TIME - The ref blows up and the game is over. Rangers extend their impressive away form with another win. Their perfect clean sheet record is gone but that is little concern as they pull even clearer at the top with 35 points. The game was closer in the first half but Aberdeen could not sustain the pressure of closing out Rangers and the Gers always looked like scoring as the game went on. Good effort but the Glasgow team were too strong. Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed the game!!
RED CARD!! Rory Fallon is shown the red after he leads with the elbow against Goian in the air. There didn't seem much intent but Fallon heads down the tunnel and Aberdeen are going to have to see this one out with 10 men
The ref brings play back and books Jelavic for swiping the legs of a Aberdeen player when lying on the floor
Clark puts a ball into the box that McGregor collects the ball cleanly - a tricky take after that clanger but McGregor shows a safe pair of hands
GOAL!!!! Into the last 10 minutes and Aberdeen score as Foster shoots from distance. McGregor drops a howler as the ball slips through his hands. He shouts at his defence for allowing the shot from distance but that was a bad mistake from the Rangers number one. Rangers concede for the first time away from home this term
Rangers were lazy in possession and Chalali collects the ball. He shoots from distance but pulls it wide - the Dons man is yet to score for his club and you can see why with shooting like that
BOOKING - Aberdeen are trying to make an impact but the only impact Andrew Considine makes is to catch Jelavic on the stretch and gets a booking for his troubles
Replays on the penalty show Mackie was going for the ball but didn't get much on it and it looks a stone-wall pen
PENALTY!! Mackie has fouled Papac inside the box - Papac was about to strike and he was up-ended. Jelavic takes it and.....
Lafferty snatches at a shot that flies over the bar. The Rangers attack on the counter comes to nothing
Aberdeen have a freekick in a dangerous area after Papac goes in with studs showing. Arnason looks to take but hits it staright at the wall
Aberdeen are going to have to do what no other team has mangaged this term in the SPL by scoring against the Glasgow team away from Ibrox
Aberdeen seem shaken Wallace was allowed to walk into the box and a bit more decisive play would have caused some danger. Gonzalez collects the ball
GOAL!!!! Kyle Lafferty scores off the bench. The ball was played in by Davis and on the angle coming in on goal he put his head down and strikes a ball low and hard past Gonzalez right onto the corner
Mackie closes out an Aberdeen attack well. Aberdeen really need to attack with more purpose - I can see the Rangers pressure gathering pace
CHANCE!!! Lee McCullock misses a good chance as Gonzalez blocks a shot from Jelavic and as the ball falls to McCullock on th 12-yard line he tries to hit it with the outside of his foot and fires it wide
INJURY UPDATE - Naismith is yet to have a scan but reports from the dressing room is that the knee feels the same as when he damaged his cruciate ligaments before so it doesn't look good
Mawene goes in hard on Lafferty - it looks to be from behind but the ref keeps the yellow in his pocket. Gonzalez collects the ball played into the box.
Rangers will be hoping to penetrate the Aberdeen defence as the attacking play was a little toothless in the first 45
Rangers are yet to concede a goal away from home so Aberdeen are going to have to produce something special to wreck that impressive SPL start for the Gers.
HALF TIME - Aberdeen has soaked up the Rangers pressure well limiting them to that one chance from Sasa Papac at the back post. The Gers will rue the loss of Naismith in the second half - Ally McCoist has just said he doesn't know the extent of the injury yet. Aberdeen had that shout for a pen but to be honest it looked to be something of nothing. Let's hope the second half can bring a goal!!!
Clark goes thundering in on Goian and the big Ranges man has to hobble towards the tunnel as the ref blows for half-time
Into injury time now which should be a fair bit after the injuries. Rangers again playing the ball around the midfield without making any real impact
The Aberdeen defence will be pleased with their efforts with Rangers limited to that one headed chance
Lafferty backs in on Considine and despite having both arms around the striker the foul goes Abereen's way
Wallace slips on the slick surface as the rain comes down now. The ball runs out for a Rangers throw on the half-way line
Aberdeen seem happy to soak up the pressure but Rangers are struggling to advance much further than the half-way line. Aberdeen are working hard to close the play out
Rangers play a long ball forward but it comes to nothing. The play has slowed down now and neither team can get a hold on it
Cheers for the email John Geddes - "the dons have been affa poor this year but i fancy us to steal a point today, we need to stop Jelavic from getting service with long balls" Good shout so far John
Rangers clear the corner and shut Aberdeen out but then Clark is played in a one-on-one with McGregor who makes a great stop with his hand and Aberdeen have a shout for a pen as an Aberdeen player tumbles in the 6-yard box - the ref says no and Rangers clear
The free-kick is played in and from the resulting play there is an excellent chance for Rangers - Lafferty whips a dangerous ball into the box and Sasa Papac has a golden chance with a low header at the back post - he should have scored!!
Play resumes as before the challenge as both teams struggle to get a hold of the game - the formations stay the same with like-for-like swaps for both teams
Naismith has been floored on the halfway line - he looks to have twisted his knee under no pressure and it looks painful
The game is yet to settle with Rangers looking to get the ball down and play and Aberdeen happy to hit it long when they get it
The play is with Rangers now as they switch it and then are forced to go back to the goal-keeper - good hassling from Aberdeen
McCoist has said Rangers will hit teams on the break that play football against him and Aberdeen will have to defend as a unit
Rangers look dangerous on their first counter-attack of the game Mawene tustles Jelavic to the ground in the box but the ref waves away the shouts for a penalty
Considine carrys the ball forward for Aberdeen and Arnason hits a good strong strike from 40 yards which forces a save from McGregor
Kari Arnason is booked for a late challange on the half way line. It was late but there wasn't a great deal of contact - he'll have to be careful now
MuCulloch with a huge throw into the box but the ref blow for a push in the box and Gonzalez clears the free-kick
It's been 2009 since Aberdeen defeated Rangers but McArdie's looking to change that with some good play around the box which breaks down as Aberdeen rush it and the ball runs out of play inside the Rangers half
Aberdeen play the ball along the back-line well looking to play in Fallon in but McGregor clears the line with a ball punted up-front
Rangers take control from the kick off but so far the ball has been high and neither team get a foot on the ball

Aberdeen who were searching for their third successive home win are without Scott Vernon and the suspended Ryan Jack with Chris Clark and Rory McArdlen coming in to replace the missing duo
The Gers have won all six of their SPL away matches this season without conceding a goal and made only one change from the side that defeated Hearts 2-0 at Tynecastle last weekend with Kyle Lafferty making way for the Croatia international.
Some news just in about today's teams and Nikica Jelavic returns to the Rangers starting XI as the Light Blues looked to extend their impressive away run in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League against Aberdeen.
