RUSSIAN TIME have announced the signing of 2012 GP3 Champion Mitch Evans for the 2014 GP2 Series.

The highly-rated Kiwi made his debut in the championship with Arden International last year and took four podium finishes - including two in Monaco.

Evans will be partnered at the reigning teams' champions by 19-year-old Russian Artem Markelov, who finished as runner-up in German F3 last year.

The team also revealed they will now be operated by the management from iSport International - the team whose assets the late Igor Mazepa bought to form RUSSIAN TIME - following the announcement earlier this week that Team Motopark had terminated their deal to operate the squad following the 40-year-old's death.

The GP2 season begins in Bahrain on April 4 and you can see every GP2 race live on Sky Sports F1 in 2014
