Force India drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez believe the start of the 2014 F1 season represents a golden opportunity for the team to prosper after highly encouraging displays during winter testing.
The Silverstone outfit haven't finished on the podium since the 2009 Belgian GP, but the team's eye-catching new car ran impressively throughout the pre-season events at Jerez and Bahrain, with Perez and Hulkenberg topping the end-of-day timesheets on more than one occasion.
Both drivers have plenty to prove in 2014, with the highly-rated German still seeking a seat in a frontrunning team and the young Mexican desperate to make amends after being ousted from McLaren just a year after joining as Lewis Hamilton's replacement.
However, Perez is convinced that not only will the start of the 2014 campaign offer a "good opportunity" for the Mercedes-powered Force India team to impress while the Renault runners come to grips with their new powertrains, but the new technology should suit his new style of driving as well.
