Nico Rosberg will drive for Mercedes on all three days of the Bahrain tyre test.

Following pressure from the F1's tyre supplier Pirelli to conduct a pre-Christmas test with 2013 cars, the FIA confirmed last week that a three-day session had been organised in the Middle East. Four teams - Red Bull, Ferrari, Toro Rosso and Mercedes - have signed up to participate.

And although fellow front-runners Red Bull and Ferrari have opted against sending their race drivers to Sakhir, Mercedes will run Rosberg throughout in the three-times race-winning W04.

It means that despite some reports that he might appear, Lewis Hamilton will not now drive again until pre-season testing gets underway at Jerez in late January. The Briton tweeted pictures over the weekend en-route to his traditional winter training camp.

Pirelli has said that it will bring prototype tyres from across its 2014 dry-weather range.

Bahrain test line-up:
Red Bull: Sebastien Buemi - All three days.
Mercedes: Nico Rosberg - All three days.
Ferrari: Pedro de la Rosa - Days One & Two; Jules Bianchi - Day Three.
Toro Rosso: Jean-Eric Vergne - Day One and Day Two morning; Daniil Kvyat - Day Two afternoon & Day Three.
