A bold and unpredictable new era awaits Formula 1 at the end of January - and Sky Sports F1 is all set to cover the early stories blow-by-blow as 2014 winter testing commences at Jerez.

After two months of frenzied work at the respective teams' bases since the V8-powered cars were put into retirement after the season finale in Brazil, the grid is gearing up to reveal the carefully-crafted fruits of their labour with all eyes on the all-new V6 turbo-charged engines that have the potential to rip up the sport's established pecking order.

For that reason alone - not to mention Kimi Raikkonen's return to Ferrari and Daniel Ricciardo's arrival at Red Bull - it's the most anticipated testing season in years and Sky Sports will be keeping you right up to date with all the news, drama and expected early unreliability on all four days in southern Spain from Tuesday January 28.

On Sky Sports News Craig Slater will be broadcasting regular live updates throughout the test as the early tale of 2014 begins to be told, while here at Sky Sports F1 Online from dawn to dusk our web team be providing rolling live interactive commentary along with the latest pictures of the new cars, analysis and reaction from trackside.

Then each evening of the test it's over to the Sky Sports F1 channel at 9pm for two shows that will ensure you are right up to speed with all the latest developments from the test.

Up first at 9pm will be a 15-minute round-up show featuring a compilation of all the best SSN interviews from the respective day in case you missed any, or all, of them or simply want to watch them again.

And after it proved such unmissable and compelling viewing last year, Ted Kravitz's Testing Notebook returns for nightly editions at 9.15pm straight after the round-up show.

In his inimitable style, Sky F1's intrepid pitlane reporter will run the rule over the new cars and innovations that catch his expert eye, the early glimpses at the formbook and of course all the ever-intriguing pre-season news and whispers from the paddock.

So make sure you don't miss that - or indeed any of our coverage from Jerez!
