Not for the first time this season, it has been tyres that have been monopolising talk in Formula 1 this week and Episode Eight of The Midweek Report reflects on all the dramatic events of the British GP and the ramifications heading to the Nurburgring.
Anna Woolhouse is joined by former McLaren driver John Watson and The Times' motor racing correspondent Kevin Eason to tackle all the major Silverstone fallout head-on and, amongst other things, debate whether last weekend's race should have been stopped on safety grounds.
Amid all of the exploding tyre drama, it's easy to forget that prior to last Sunday there had only been one talking point in the paddock - the driver market, in wake of Mark Webber's retirement announcement. Kimi Raikkonen remains the leading contender to replace the Australian and our guests debate whether the Finn will be swapping Lotus for Red Bull come season's end.
And what about Force India's in-form Paul Di Resta? Christian Horner may have ruled him out of the running for the World Champions, but is the Scot doing enough to convince another top team to take him on for 2014? We also take a look at the regulation changes announced for next season, including the contentious driver penalty points system.
So tune in above find out what John and Kevin have to say about it all and, as always, have your own say in the comments below or using the #F1REPORT hashtag!
