Sebastien Buemi has been retained as Red Bull’s reserve driver for 2015.
The Frenchman, who recently won the World Endurance Championship alongside Sky F1 pundit Anthony Davidson, will fill the role with the Milton Keynes outfit for a fifth year.
Buemi was first appointed Red Bull’s reserve driver in 2008 prior to a three-year stint in a race seat with junior team Toro Rosso. He then returned to Red Bull in 2012 but has yet to drive in a grand prix for the former world champions.
“I’m very pleased to take on another season as reserve driver at Infiniti Red Bull Racing," said Buemi. “It is like being part of the family now and I have a good working and personal relationship with everyone at the team.
"I’m looking forward to helping with the development of the RB11 in any way I can. It should be an exciting season and I’m delighted that I will be a part of it.”
Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat will drive for Red Bull in 2015 following Sebastian Vettel’s unexpected defection to Ferrari.
