Red Bull unveil final 2015 RB11 livery as team stay in Barcelona for filming days

Traditional colours with Infiniti purple; Ricciardo says laps at promo run will only help team and "we'll be good come Melbourne"

Red Bull have unveiled their definitive livery for the 2015 season ahead of two days of filming with the RB11 at the Circuit de Catalunya.

The former world champions surprised the paddock by unveiling their new RB11 decked out in black and white 'camouflage' at the opening test in Jerez, a livery kept on the car for the whole three-test winter schedule as the team attempted to hide the car’s aerodynamic designs from rival eyes.

But with the ‘camobull’ look only ever intended to run during testing, Red Bull released images on Twitter confirming that they'll revert to their traditional colours of blue, red and yellow for the racing season, although the purple of title sponsor Infiniti is now more prominent on the sidepods and rear wing.

The RB11 is running in its finalised look during promotional filming in Barcelona, the team having stayed on at the Circuit de Catalunya to complete the 200km on demonstration tyres as permitted under F1’s testing regulations.

Although the team have completed 2,000km more with the RB11 this year than they managed with its predecessor last winter, they appear to be heading to Melbourne in a tight fight with Williams and Ferrari for ‘best of the rest’ honours behind Mercedes.

Speaking at the end of Sunday’s final day of testing, Daniel Ricciardo said the extra mileage racked up during their filming days would only be of benefit.

“Every bit of mileage we can do helps. We’ve got a couple of them coming up which are definitely more for the guys behind the laptops and try to find a bit more out of it,” Ricciardo told Sky Sports Digital.
