Alexander Rossi topped the opening day of the final GP2 pre-season test of 2014 at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The Caterham driver recorded a time of 1:40.604 to finish a tenth ahead of morning pacesetter Daniel Abt who only found six hundredths of a second between the two sessions.

Mitch Evans was third quickest for reigning Teams' Champions Russian Time, whilst fourth placed Conor Daly again impressed for Lazarus - who incidentally still have a vacant seat available - and Jolyon Palmer completed the top five.

McLaren protégé Stoffel Vandoorne was the busiest driver of the day, completing 62 laps in total, finishing with the tenth fastest time, four tenths slower than Rossi.
