Sauber: New car launched two days before testing starts

Sauber are to unveil their C33 chassis online on Sunday January 26, two days before pre-season testing starts in earnest at Jerez.

Entering what they call "a new era of Formula One", the Swiss team are sticking with Ferrari power in the shape of the Italian marque's V6 turbo engine. The car does, however, have a new chief designer, with Eric Gandelin taking charge after Matt Morris departed for McLaren last year.

Of course, Sauber also have a new driver line-up, with Adrian Sutil arriving to partner Esteban Gutierrez. The team finished seventh in the 2013 Constructors' Championship with 57 points.

2014 car launch schedule
January 24: McLaren MP4-29 - Online.
January 25: Ferrari - Online.
January 26: Sauber C33 - Online.
January 28: Red Bull RB10, Mercedes W05 and Caterham - Jerez.
February: Lotus E22 - Pre-Bahrain test.

The Sky Sports F1 Online team will be providing live commentary of all three winter tests, starting in Jerez on Tuesday January 28, with live updates from trackside also on Sky Sports News.
