Force India will give third driver Jules Bianchi another day behind the wheel of their VJM05 car on the opening day of next week's Mugello test.

Force India to give reserve driver more track time on opening day

Young French protégé Jules Bianchi will get another run-out in Force India's VJM05 on the first day of next week's Mugello test, the team have confirmed. The 22-year-old Ferrari Driver Academy member has joined Force India in the role of third driver for 2012 and has already made his Grand Prix weekend debut for the team in Friday practice in China. He will get a further chance to sample the VJM05 on Tuesday as the three-day Mugello test gets underway, before race drivers Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg take over the car on days two and three respectively. Bianchi got his Force India career off to an inauspicious start the last time he was involved in a test session at Jerez in February, the Frenchman crashing the then brand-new 2012 machine just two laps into his second morning on track. Six teams have now confirmed their line-ups for the first in-season Formula 1 test for four years, while on Wednesday HRT announced they wouldn't be taking part in order to focus on the team's relocation to Madrid.
