Terry Jenkins: Yet to win a major title

Terry Jenkins has proven time and time again he has the class to go deep into majors, but his failure to win one will always be held against him until he takes the final step.

Of course, not doing so is no disgrace given the dominance with which the great Phil Taylor has ruled the darting world down the years - and Jenkins' career record is one that several more highly-regarded players can only dream of.

'The Bull' has been a major finalist no fewer than seven times in his career but the last 12 months have been something of a rollercoaster for the former antiques dealer.

A third Matchplay semi-final and quarter-final at the UK Open, plus a first title in three years, were the highs, with early exits at the Grand Prix, European Championship and Grand Slam the lows.

When compared to the likes of Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, Adrian Lewis, James Wade and John Part, Jenkins remains very much 'the bridesmaid' on the biggest days but the former antiques dealer will never stop dreaming.
