Phil Taylor could miss out on a play-off place for the first time in his career on Thursday's historic night of Premier League Darts.
There's just one more night of action before the finals at London's O2 Arena on May 21 and it's now or never for four of the world's best players.
Taylor needs to beat world champion Gary Anderson at this week's event on Tyneside and hope the Scotsman, and Raymond van Barneveld, lose their matches this week and next week in Brighton.
If the six-time Premier League champion from Stoke fails to get the result, he will miss out on the final four for the first time since the tournament was introduced in 2005.
Van Barneveld's wins in Birmingham last week put him into the top four and level on 16 points with Anderson. The pair are - crucially - ahead of Taylor and Adrian Lewis, who both need results to go their way in order to qualify.
League leader Michael van Gerwen is already qualified alongside surprise package Dave Chisnall with only James Wade and Stephen Bunting unable to catch the leading four.
Four must become two over the next fortnight.
