Robert Thornton beat Jamie Cavern 6-5
Robert Thornton and Kim Huybrechts claimed victories in the two PDC events held over the weekend as part of the Killarney Darts Festival.
Thornton won the Gleneagle Hotel Players Championship on Saturday with a 6-5 victory over Jamie Craven.
The world No 11 bounced back from a first round exit to Paul Nicholson in last week's partypoker.com World Grand Prix in Dublin to secure the £10,000 winners prize.
Both players began well and shared the opening two legs with 12-dart finishes.
The next two legs were shared before Thornton broke throw in the fifth leg only for Caven to hit straight back to level at three apiece.
Caven then edged ahead 4-3 and 5-4 only to be pegged back on both occasions before both players landed 180s in the deciding leg.
But Thornton held his nerve and closed the match out with an excellent 15-darter.
Huybrechts then claimed the spoils on Sunday in far more convincing fashion, as he recorded his second PDC ProTour title of 2013 after thrashing Kevin Painter 6-0 in the final of the John McEvoy Gold Dart Classic Trophy.
The Dutchman advanced into an early 2-0 lead, which included a stunning 170 checkout to complete a 12-darter in the second leg.
Huybrechts powered on to win the next two legs to move 4-0 up before hitting back-to-back 14-dart finishes to complete the clean sweep and with it the top prize of £10,000.
