The 2013 champion Michael van Gerwen
The 2014 Premier League Darts season will consist of 16 nights over three and a half months, culminating in the final play-offs at The O2 Arena on May 22.
The new season will start on February 6 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, where 10 players begin the first phase of the campaign.
Over the opening nine weeks of the season, the 10 players will face each other once.
Six further league nights will then be held, with each featuring either four or five matches as the remaining eight players meet each other once more.
The top four players following the completion of the 15-night league season will progress to the Play-Offs at The O2.
The reigning champion is Michael van Gerwen, with Sky Sports covering the competition live.
PDC chairman Barry Hearn said: "For Michael van Gerwen to win the Premier League Darts title in his debut season made it especially memorable for him following his brilliant final with Phil Taylor.
"We're already looking forward to kicking off the 2014 Premier League Darts season at a sell-out Echo Arena in Liverpool in February."
The competitors for the 2014 season will be announced in January 2014 following the completion of the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship, with the top four players from the PDC Order of Merit to be joined by six Wildcards.
