Commentator John Gwynne has announced plans to leave Sky Sports Darts this summer.
The popular broadcaster has revealed he intends to hang up his microphone following this summer's World Matchplay in Blackpool, which will be the 20th edition of the tournament that he has worked on.
Gwynne has also commentated on 20 PDC World Championships since joining Sky Sports in the 1990's and his work alongside the likes of the late Sid Waddell and Dave Lanning saw the sport rise in popularity over the last two decades.
Sky Sports has left the door open for Gwynne to continue to work for them and he has confirmed he intends to continue his long association with the company as a football and rugby reporter.
He said: "I am greatly indebted to Sky for giving me two decades of bliss; I feel privileged to have been a part of one of its greatest successes.
"I will walk away with no regrets, with an abundance of happy memories and having made many, many friends."
