Key stage

Stage three. The climb to The Tumble is steep enough and long enough to create gaps and put the strongest rider on the day in the driving seat for the rest of the race.

The jerseys

- Yellow: General classification.
- Blue and white: Points classification.
- Green and white polka dots: Mountains classification.
- Green and red: Sprints classification.

Time bonuses

- 10, 6 and 4 bonus seconds will be awarded to the first three finishers on stages one to seven.
- 6, 4 and 2 seconds will be awarded to the first three finishers on stage 8b.
- 3, 2 and 1 second will be awarded to the first three riders over the line at intermediate sprints.

Points allocation

Points classification - 15, 14, 12, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point will be awarded to the first 15 riders over the stage finish line. Mountains classification - Category-one climbs: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point will be awarded to the first ten riders over the summit.
- Category-two climbs: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point will be awarded to the six riders over the summit.
- Category-three climbs: 4, 3, 2 and 1 point will be awarded to the four riders over the summit.
