Peter Kennaugh got 2013 off to a winning start with a strong showing at the Revolution meeting in Manchester.

A dominating performance in the points race was the highlight as the Manxman gave the packed crowd a first glimpse of the team’s new Rapha kit.

On display in public for the first time, the 23-year-old did the new strip justice as he took two laps on a high-quality field en route to victory.

Earlier in the day Kennaugh came a close second in the British National Madison Championships, earning a silver medal alongside BMC Racing’s Adam Blythe.

GB Academy products George Atkins and Jon Mould came away with the title after the race went down to the wire.

Viewers in the UK can watch highlights of the action on ITV4 at 8pm on Wednesday 8 January.
