Mark Cavendish relinquished his overall lead in the third stage of the Tour of Turkey on Tuesday.

The mountainous stage of the event from Finike to Elmali saw Great Britain's Adam Yates finish in second place.

But his brother Simon endured a miserable day when he crashed out of the race with a suspected broken collarbone.

The 21-year-old brothers are both riding their first year as professionals with Orica-GreenEdge.

Their compatriot Cavendish was replaced at the overall summit by Estonian Rein Taaramae, after the Omega Pharma-Quickstep's rider had won the opening two stages.

The top three from the stage reflects that of the overall classification, with Adam Yates second and Taaramae's Cofidis team-mate Romain Hardy third.
