Dame Sarah Storey will return to competitive cycling for the first time since London 2012 at the end of this month.

The 11-time Paralympic champion took a break from the sport following the birth of her daughter in June but will take part in the Newport International Para-cycling Cup.

The three-day event, which runs from 29 November to 1 December, will also see her fellow Paralympic gold medallists Jody Cundy, Neil Fachie and Darren Kenny compete.

"I can't wait to race again," Storey, who will represent her trade team Breast Cancer Care RT, said.

"It's great that British Cycling, UK Sport and Newport City Council have come together to provide this opportunity.

"I'm looking forward to being able to measure my fitness against the best in the world, as well as being able to once again compete in front of a home crowd."
