James makes it a hat-trick of golds

Callum Skinner sealed the men's individual sprint title at the National Track Championships after defeating Lewis Oliva by the tightest of margins in Manchester. Skinner did not lose a match en route to the final but looked like he would have to settle for silver when Oliva won the first two matches. But Oliva was relegated for a sprinter's lane transgression in the second run, and in the deciding race Skinner prevailed via a photo finish. Elsewhere, Becky James and older sister Rachel stormed to victory in the women's team sprint to capture the Becky's third gold of the week, with Eleanor Richardson and Lauryn Therin settling for silver. The 100%ME team of George Atkins, Owain Doull, Sam Harrison, Joe Kelly and Simon Yates pipped opponents Champion System - consisting of Jon Dibben, Sam Lowe, Luc Hall and Andrew Hargroves - in the team pursuit, while veteran rider Janet Birkmyre claimed a shock gold in the women's scratch race with a stunning sprint. Grace Garner and Abby Mae Parkinson took gold in the U16 Madison, while in the male equivalent, Ben Chapman and Max Stedman came out on top.
