Measures in place to avoid spot-fixing repeat

The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken measures to ensure their team at the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka do not get involved in another spot-fixing scandal. Three Pakistan players Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were jailed in 2011 after being found guilty of charges which related to two of them deliberately bowling no-balls in a Test match against England at Lord's two years ago. "No player is allowed to meet any suspicious or unknown person on the tour," said PCB chairman Muhammad Zaka Ashraf. "We have constituted a security wing in Pakistan to monitor daily reports sent by officers accompanying the team." Pakistan take on Australia on Tuesday in Group 2 of the Super Eight stage.
