Shane Warne was on hand to present Sky Sports ECB Coach Education Programme awards to 15 grassroots coaches during the lunch break on day two of the second Test between England and South Africa at Headingley.

During the 2012 season, the programme will recognise 100 coaches, who have been nominated by their fellow cricket coaches across England and Wales for going above and beyond the call of duty to help grassroots cricket flourish.

The Sky Sports ECB Coach Education Programme - which has trained more than 45,000 coaches since 2006 - aims to attract and train cricket coaches at all levels in England and Wales.

There are now more than 100 grassroots coaches for every professional cricketer in England and Wales.

Commenting on the Sky Sports ECB Coach Education programme, Mike Gatting, Managing Director Partnerships, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), said: "I'm delighted to see so many coaches from all levels continue to graduate from the Sky Sports Coach Education Programme.

"Coaching is vitally important to the future of the game and we are grateful to Sky Sports for their investment in the programme, which enables the ECB to cater for the ever increasing number of boys and girls wanting to take up the game in England and Wales."
