England found two unlikely heroes, in Ashley Giles and Matthew Hoggard, to hit the winning runs at Trent Bridge in the 2005 Ashes.

England needed 129 to win the fourth Test and take a 2-1 lead in the series, but Australia reduced them to 116-7, with 13 still needed when Giles and Hoggard came to the crease.

One of the heroes of the 2005 Ashes series, Matthew Hoggard looks back at the Trent Bridge Test.

Watch their videos above and read their quotes below to see their reflections on the series as a whole, and how both remember their starring role.

Giles: "I get remembered a lot for hitting those runs at Trent Bridge. I got seven not-out. I get remembered for that more than perhaps my 50 at The Oval which was an important innings. But it was great to be there with Hoggy at the end, him hitting a four which I've never seen before. Throughout the summer most of it had been about the team. The guys on the balcony, getting back in that dressing-room to celebrate with those guys, that was special."

Hoggard: "I'm not a massive stat man. I don't remember what I did and how I did. I remember we won. It was very scary, I couldn't watch. We only needed 120-odd to win with 10 wickets in hand, which was only 12 per wicket. I was petrified walking down the steps and onto the wicket and then things slowed down. Thankfully I managed to get a full-toss away for four, then Giles clipped one away for two to win it and it was great euphoria going up 2-1 in The Ashes with one to go."
