Highveld Lions beat Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in the Champions League with Jean Symes scoring the winning runs with three balls to spare.
The Lions have now won both their group games so far, but the IPL giants Chennai are all-but out, having lost both of theirs.
Chennai got off to an excellent start, openers Faf du Plessis (25 and 20) and Murali Vijay (22 off 25) putting on 44, but they and Suresh Raina (20 off 16) failed to push on when well set.
Skipper MS Dhoni, with a brilliant 34 off 26, and S Badrinath (27no off 14) provided some late fireworks to get Chennai up to 158-6.
Slow left-armer Aaron Phangiso was the star of the show for the Lions, taking 2-17 off his four overs and taking a brilliant catch to dismiss Du Plessis.
The Lions reply got off to the worst possible start, Doug Bollinger pinning Alviro Petersen in front with the very first ball.
Quinton de Kock (5) then edged Bollinger behind but then came the fightback, Ghulam Bodi (64 off 36) and Neil McKenzie (33 off 34) adding 93 in 11 overs.
When they fell Chennai were favourites, but Symes (39 off 23) and Chris Morris (12 off 7) kept chipping away and going into the final over they needed nine, and Symes settled it with two fours, the Lions winning with three balls to spare.
