All-rounder has completed his chemotherapy treatment

Yuvraj Singh has been named in India's preliminary 30-man squad for the World Twenty20. The 30-year-old has only just returned to 'light training' after his completing chemotherapy treatment - with Yuvraj having been diagnosed on a rare germ-cell tumour between his lungs in 2011. And although Yuvraj is still some way off making the final cut, the news will be a massive boost for India. Yuvraj was named the man of the tournament as India won the 50-over World Cup last year, with the left-hander scoring 362 runs and taking 15 wickets. He was also instrumental in India's 2007 World Twenty20 success in South Africa. India have also included out-of-favour off-spinner Harbhajan Singh in their extended squad. India's preliminary squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ravichandran Ashwin, Pragyan Ojha, Umesh Yadav, Ashok Dinda, Ajinkya Rahane, Manoj Tiwary, Rahul Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Mandeep Singh, Piyush Chawla, Ravindra Jadeja, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel, Naman Ojha, Dinesh Karthik, Praveen Kumar, Lakshmipathy Balaji.
