International cricket is set to return to Pakistan in January after Bangladesh agreed to tour the country.
No international team has made the trip to Pakistan since the Sri Lanka team bus was attacked by gunmen in March 2009.
The High Court in Bangladesh vetoed a short tour earlier this year, and the latest proposal is again subject to judicial approval.
But officials are hopeful a schedule featuring one Twenty20 and one 50-over match will go ahead in Lahore in the New Year.
Bangladesh Cricket Board head of cricket operations Enayet Husain Siraj said: "We have in principle agreed to tour Pakistan.
"It's a commitment made by former BCB president Mustafa Kamal. We are keeping his word. The tour is subject to security clearance."
