Yasir Shah took a career-best 7-76 to set up a superb 10-wicket victory for Pakistan over Sri Lanka in the first Test at Galle.
The 29-year-old leg spinner, who took two wickets in the first innings, ripped through the hosts to dismiss them for 206 in their second-innings, allowing Mohammad Hafeez (46) and Ahmed Shehzad (43) to knock off the 90 runs needed in 11 overs for a victory made all the more special by the fact the first four sessions of the match were washed out.
It was Pakistan's first Test win in Sri Lanka since the eight-wicket triumph in Kandy in 2006.
While Shah was the wrecker-in-chief, paceman Wahab Riaz claimed 2-46, with Dimuth Karunaratne (79) the highest scorer for the hosts, who lost their last five wickets for 39 runs having resumed the final day on 63-2.
Shah struck with the first ball of the day - nightwatchman Dilruwan Perera offering no shot to a ball that clattered his off-stump.
Karunaratne and Lahiru Thirimanne (44) then added 69 runs for the fourth wicket to steady the ship, but with the hosts just 15 runs ahead in the match, Riaz had Thirimanne caught at slip by Younis Khan.
Havig reached lunch 144-4, Sri Lanka suffered a huge blow off the second ball after the break when skipper Angelo Mathews was controversially given out caught at short-leg by TV umpire Chris Gaffaney.
Mathews, who had called for a review as soon as the umpire raised his finger, was visibly furious as he returned to the pavilion.
Karunaratne's patience after a vigil of more than four hours at the crease finally ran out when he attempted a big hit off Yasir, missed the line and was smartly stumped by an agile Sarfraz Ahmed to make it 167-6.
That became 175-7 when Kithuruwan Vithanage swept to Zulfiqar Babar at square-leg and once Dhammika Prasad had been stumped off Babar, Yasir wrapped up the tail - Rangana Herath holing out in the deep before Chandimal was stumped.
Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq said: "When you have so many left-handers in the opposition and on a fourth or fifth day pitch with lot of footmarks, leg-spinners play important role and his (Shah) performance was key in our victory."
