Sri Lanka have recalled spinner Ajantha Mendis to their squad for their two-Test series against Bangladesh.
The 28-year-old was overlooked for the recent drawn series against Pakistan in the UAE and has not played Test cricket since Bangladesh toured Sri Lanka in March last year.
But Mendis has been preferred to off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake in a 15-man squad for the first Test in Dhaka, which starts on Monday.
Batsman Lahiru Thirimanne and seamer Nuwan Kulasekara have both been ruled out after picking up injuries against Pakistan.
Thirimanne has failed to recover from an ankle problem and has been replaced in the squad by Kithuruwan Vithanage.
The two Tests will be followed by three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches, with Sri Lanka unveiling their limited-overs squad at a later date.
