Players were only partially paid for their World Cup appearances
Sri Lanka Cricket have announced their international players have been fully paid ahead of their Test series with England.
Concerns over the players' contracts have lingered since they were paid only partially for their World Cup appearances last year.
Now, following assistance from the government, the board has revealed all player contracts have been settled.
A statement read: "Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to inform the public and the media that our national players have been paid all their dues in full up to date.
"We extend our sincere thanks to the Honourable Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and the Secretary, Ministry of Sports for assisting Sri Lanka Cricket to source these funds at this very difficult time in order to pay our players."
